Welcome ⤑ Place And Process
Insights about filmmaking, book publishing and keeping sane whilst travelling the world with your family.
Greetings!
I want to say I’m excited launching this newsletter but in truth I’m also a little bit prang (prang for those who don’t know is a British slang term for being a bit anxious). I’m prang as I’m committing to sharing my thoughts, writing, decision making and process with not just my friends and family but more. Potentially old clients are reading this, potentially future collaborators are reading this and if you know me you know I find it hard to share.
But here goes…
Place and Process is a little testing ground where I’ll be sharing my work and the thoughts and processes behind what I’m up to.
From laying out our latest art books to getting them out there, to script writing and getting my fiction directing career off the ground to photography - whether it be curating or even re-touching pics.
The reason I add Place in the title is that I’ve been nomadic for over a decade. My family and I have lived across South-East Asia, the US, and the UK, bouncing around. Place and location is central to my identity and what I do.
I hope to send a newsletter on a weekly basis, with some vids, maybe some audio and maybe even some giveaways.
Sign up now so you don’t miss the first issue, which will be in your inbox soon.
In the meantime, tell your friends!
And this week i’ve been mostly listening to this lovely chill mix from Chewin The Fat in Melbourne…
…whilst editing a range of pictures from Cambodia for a fundraiser for Chenla Healthcare.
